John Fenty, founder of Five Star Fish Limited, has been quick to recognise the benefits of introducing Tracesoft within his company. He relates his experiences and positive learnings gained through implementation of the System.
“Five Star Fish profits were up 10% to £3.8 million in 2005. Difficult market conditions could have adversely affected profitability and under these circumstances we might have expected little better than to repeat 2004’s performance. However, we not only sustained our profitability but increased it by just over 10% on the previous year.
The Tracesoft Quality Management System has played a significant part in the dramatic rise in profit.
Without doubt the combination of Tracesoft and hand held computers has enabled unprecedented, no fuss control at the root of production (where it counts) enabling real-time profit making decisions to become possible, furthermore driving control through a raft of conformance that had previously been difficult to manage and police.
I would say that 50% of our increase in profit has occurred through super conformance to standards, which is driven by Tracesoft.
