The MHS needed to undertake a proof of concept (POC) on the electronic capture of data at the point of inspection, in order to assist in the preparation of a Business Case for a viable Return on Investment (ROI).
One pig slaughter house was selected for the POC which took place over a three month period.
With around 350 slaughter houses in GB, the sheer scale of the operation meant that “getting it wrong” could prove a very costly mistake.
Tracesoft was chosen as the software system for the POC for the collection of the inspection results because of its quick and easy data capture configuration capabilities.
